Concept

Beijing Oceanwide Club was conceived as a contemporary interpretation of the classic private club experience. Rather than creating a purely decorative luxury environment, the project explores how architecture, furnishings, artwork, and spatial atmosphere can work together to create a refined social destination.

The project balances formal grandeur with a sense of intimacy. Through layered spatial sequencing, rich material compositions, and curated visual moments, the club transforms traditional luxury language into an experience that feels elegant, personal, and timeless.

Soft furnishings and decorative elements were approached not as accessories, but as integral components of the spatial narrative. Each piece contributes to an environment designed around comfort, conversation, and a sense of collected sophistication.

Design Approach

Curated Luxury

The project approaches luxury through carefully selected objects rather than excessive ornamentation. Artwork, sculptures, books, decorative accessories, and custom furnishings are treated as a curated collection, creating spaces that feel lived-in and authentic rather than staged.

Material Dialogue

A layered material language creates visual depth and warmth throughout the project. Dark walnut wood, natural stone, leather, crystal, metal accents, and refined textiles interact through contrast and balance, establishing an atmosphere that is rich yet controlled.

Spatial Sequence

The club experience unfolds through a progression of spaces with varying levels of privacy and openness. Formal reception areas transition into lounges, libraries, and intimate gathering environments, creating a journey defined by rhythm, atmosphere, and human interaction.
