1,000 sqm
Located in Qujiang, Xi’an, a city deeply rooted in Chinese history and cultural memory, the residence reinterprets the spirit of traditional literati living through a contemporary interior language. The design does not rely on direct historical symbols; instead, it uses simplicity, proportion, light, texture, and refined materiality to create a quiet modern home with a sense of cultural depth.
The concept centers on time, nature, and the origin of life. Soft daylight, muted grey tones, warm coffee colors, marble surfaces, fabric textures, and natural accents are layered together to create an atmosphere of stillness and reflection. The residence becomes a place where daily life, aesthetic appreciation, and inner calm can coexist.
The design translates the cultural atmosphere of Xi’an into a modern residential setting. Instead of using decorative historical references, the space expresses Eastern elegance through restraint, simplicity, and quiet spatial composition, allowing the residence to feel both contemporary and culturally grounded.
Natural light, greenery, soft fabrics, marble, wood tones, and gentle colors are used to create a calm and breathable living environment. The design allows sunlight, air, and natural textures to enter the space, encouraging a slower rhythm of living and a deeper connection with nature.
The residence is carefully staged through furniture, soft furnishings, artwork, lighting, and decorative objects. Each area — living room, dining room, bar area, bedroom, and lounge space — is designed as a scene of refined daily life, presenting reading, gathering, dining, resting, and contemplation as part of a complete lifestyle experience.
